CLASSIC AMERICAN BROWN SUGAR DRY RUB
This sweet and smoky rub is exactly what you imagine a Kansas City style rub to be.
- 1⁄2 cup light brown sugar
- 1⁄4 c smoked paprika
- 4 Tbsp kosher salt
- 3 Tbsp black pepper
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp celery seed
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 1Combine ingredients in a small bowl.
2 Rub onto meat and skin and allow to sit at least one hour before smoking.
Unused portions can be kept in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
