COUNTRY STYLE DRY RUB
The addition of celery seed gives this rub a floral background perfect for chicken and fish.
- 1 c white sugar
- 1⁄2 c kosher salt
- 1⁄4 c sweet paprika
- 2 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp black pepper
- 1 tsp ground celery seed
11Combine ingredients in a small bowl.
2 Rub onto meat and skin and allow to sit at least one hour before smoking.
Unused portions can be kept in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
