Clams are very convenient to eat. They come in their own little packages, and most of the time you don’t have to do much to prepare them. All you need is some garlic, butter, and beer to make a feast of these little guys. Little puffs of steam will be rolling off of them once they pop open, and are ready to eat.
Estimated Smoke Time:
- 2.5 lbs fresh clams
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 4 tbsp. of butter
1 Soak the all the clams in some water for two hours. Be sure to scrub the clams as well under some cold water after soaking them.
2 Mince the butter, garlic, and one twelve ounce beer. Arrange the clams on a metal tray. Add this mixture to the tray.
3 Place the tray inside the smoker. Cook your clams for only 20 minutes in the smoker, or until they have opened.
4 Once the clams are done, add in your preferred sauce and serve.
